I investigate the fundamental geochemical processes that govern the fate and transport of organic contaminants in surface and subsurface aquatic environments. My research integrates mechanistic sorption studies, colloid–contaminant interaction analyses, and column transport experiments to elucidate the physicochemical controls on contaminant mobility in mineral-rich porous media. I further aim to develop predictive geochemical models that enable accurate assessment of contaminant mobility under realistic saturated subsurface conditions.
